ASGE AND ASGE FOUNDATION HONORED Dr Chirag N Shah FOR IMPORTANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE FIELD OF ENDOSCOPY
DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. – August 15, 2014 – The American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) honored Chirag N Shah, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, INDIA with the DON WILSON AWARD during the tenth annual ASGE Crystal Awards on May 4. Hosted by ASGE and the ASGE Foundation, the event was held at Navy Pier in Chicago, Ill., during Digestive Disease Week (DDW®).
The Don Wilson Award provides advanced fellows or junior faculty with the opportunity to train outside of their home country with a premier GI endoscopist or group to advance their training. The award was named to honor the late Dr. Don Wilson, a strong advocate and supporter of international education and training in GI endoscopy. The awards are underwritten by a grant from Cook Medical.
The ASGE Crystal Awards symbolize the finest in leadership, research and scientific pursuit. The event recognized the 2014 award and grant recipients who have shared their expertise and strengthened the specialty and the Society. Proceeds from the event benefited the ASGE Foundation in support of GI endoscopy-related research, physician education and training, and public outreach initiatives.
Dr Chirag N Shah has been trained in Gastroenterology and Endoscopy in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, INDIA. Currently he is giving his services at Shalby Hospital, Ahmedabad. All these awards and recognitions definitely make him one of the best Gastroenterologist Doctors in Ahmedabad.
